my car got broken into in montreal and my ipod got stolen, along with a bunch of adapters and a case of beer :(
and i left my laptop charger there so i don't know how i'm going to be able to do my work now. have to frantically try to find a way to charge the computer until i can get the old one back

I was telling my parents about how I made banana cake and they were very jealous.
Why? Because bananas in Australia right now cost $17 per kilo. That's more than $3 each.
Apparently a cyclone gobbled up all the bananas in Queensland and now they can't get any, so you can't get banana bread or muffins or anything anywhere. Apparently some friends of mine did a whole sketch on TV where they tried to exchange bananas for $AUD at the bank, and pay for stuff in bananas. They put a banana in the toll booth coin collector on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.... and even that's over-paying. Last time I was there the toll was only $2.50.

YUMMMMM ..... it turned out very yummy. I just ate one side of it with some tea and watched the news.

1 hour later: cake was supposed to be ready around now but it's still a bit yellow and soft, hmmm. I'm going to wait a while longer. I hope it comes out well!

Download the app, then if you have iTunes it lets you know what other music you’ll like, based on your ratings and how often you play songs. The recommendations come from what other people with similar tastes are listening to.

I've been working really hard on preparing for my "A" exam. The exam will be in a week's time, it's a 2-hour long oral exam by a committee of 3 people. They give you the "questions" in advance, and you have to write up 10 page answers to each one, and then be prepared for follow-up questions on the day. So I don't have much of a life right now ...
It's started getting cold here and snowing a little bit. I'll be back in Sydney on December 17. I'm hoping it gets really freezing here before then so it makes me really appreciate the weather back there!
